Things you can do:

  • In Year 10 attend the Three Colleges Taster Day (July) to get an idea of what college study might be like.
  • Attend the Careers Evening in September and talk to local colleges, apprenticeship providers and employers.
  • Talk to your subject teachers about your progress and suitability for the subject
  • Talk to the school Careers Adviser.
  • Check on specific entry requirements needed for your college course.
  • Attend college and apprenticeship provider open events to find out more information.
  • Apply in the Autumn or Spring terms of Year 11. 
  • Look for work experience to build your confidence and understanding of the world of work.
