Safeguarding
Safeguarding Statement
At our school, the safety, wellbeing and welfare of every child is our highest priority. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where all pupils can learn, develop and thrive.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. This commitment applies to all members of our school community, including pupils, staff, governors, volunteers, visitors and contractors. We expect everyone on our site to share our commitment to protecting children from harm and to act in accordance with our safeguarding procedures.
We promote a strong culture of vigilance, where concerns about a child's safety or wellbeing are recognised, taken seriously and acted upon promptly. All staff receive appropriate safeguarding training and understand their responsibilities for identifying and reporting concerns. Volunteers, visitors and contractors are expected to follow our safeguarding expectations while on school premises and to report any concerns immediately to a member of staff.
Our school works closely with parents, carers and external agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Where concerns arise, we will take appropriate action in line with statutory guidance and local safeguarding procedures.
Everyone who enters our school has a role to play in helping to keep children safe. If you have any concerns about the safety or welfare of a child, please speak to a member of staff immediately and ask to speak to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (contact information provided below).
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding practice and ensuring that every child feels safe, valued, respected and listened to.
